MMGA is planning a Leadership Conference for chapter leaders April 29, 2017. Based on the results of a survey of chapter leaders throughout the state, we are planning a one day conference in Mt. Pleasant.
We're planning a series of morning sessions on topics including:
The future of MG program and MG classes
Building your local chapters
Fundraising
Finance
Marketing needs
Governance
Plans for the afternoon include breakout sessions on:
Applying for a raffle license, 50/50 drawings and fundraising auctions
A review of everything the VMS has to offer
Video conferencing for local chapters
Development of a PowerPoint presentation for use in promoting local chapters
Leadership conferences support and assist the leaders of each MMGA chapter and the Executive Committee of each MMGA affiliate chapter received a survey to help MMGA plan the process. Of the 86 people surveyed 51 have responded with 36 members able to attend. If you haven't taken the survey yet please take a few minutes and complete it today.
This Conference is for chapter board members of the Michigan Master Gardener Association, Inc. [MMGA]. Two members from each chapter may attend this informational event. The information provided will help local chapters with governance and promotion. Registration forms will be sent through email to all Executive Committee members of each chapter.
