Description of the Event:
Tomato Taste-off offers People's Choice Awards for the most delicious tomatoes, grown locally. This tasting competition will be held during the Kalamazoo County Fair, in the Expo Center on Lake Street. Admission to the fairgrounds is free if you bring tomatoes to enter in the competition; registration begins at 9:00 am on August 12. Prizes will be awarded. Anyone is welcome to help select the winners in these categories: Heirlooms (any color), Slicers, Paste, Cherry, Large Tomato, Tomato with Most Personality. There will also be a prize awarded for the most attractive Fresh Garden Basket.
