Description of the Event:
A 5-week in-person class that will teach you everything needed to create a living rain garden at your home or place of work. The class will lead you through all phases, from locating and designing to planting and maintaining a beautiful and functional rain garden. Instructors from the Kalamazoo Nature Center and Kalamazoo River Watershed Council will help you develop your own rain garden design plan and an optional rain garden tour will take place in early June.
Class held Mondays 5:30 - 7:30 PM from 9/25 - 10/23/17. Students who attend all 5 classes and plant their own rain garden will receive their Master *Rain* Gardener certificate! Plus a sign for your garden. Students from Stuart, West Main Hill, Oakland-Winchell, Vine, and Central City neighborhoods may be eligible for free starter kit of rain garden plants.
