Description of the Event:

Many look forward to using plants to decorate their homes for the holidays. People often receive holiday plants as gifts for the winter season. But few know how to keep the plants alive and growing with succession. In this session, Paul Pfeifer of Hidden Lake Gardens, will discuss the proper growing requirements for holiday plants to keep them bright and beautiful, as well as tips on using the plants beyond the holiday season. Plants included in the discussion include poinsettia, cyclamen, amaryllis, paper whites, Christmas cactus, African violets, orchids, evergreens, ivy, holly, boxwood, and topiaries. Program takes place at Tecumseh District Library. For more information call 517-423-2238 or visit www.tecumsehlibrary.org.
