Description of the Event:
28th Annual Ann Arbor Garden Walk™
Wooded landscapes full of challenges – a rain-capturing cistern system – an 1860s farmhouse surrounded by easy care perennials – the six private gardens featured on the 2018 Ann Arbor Garden Walk beautifully illustrate the results of creating gardens that maximize a site's natural landscape. Packed with plants, waterfalls, art and more, these gardens offer a host of ideas and inspiration for those planning to spruce up their own green space.
In addition to gardens, the Walk features a tempting variety of perennial plants, unique garden art, and handcrafted merchandise at the Garden Walk Marketplace, co-located this year at Garden 3. A portion of Marketplace sales are donated to the event proceeds.
Proceeds from the annual Garden Walk benefit local nonprofit horticultural and environmental organizations and projects, such as school and community gardens, natural areas restoration, and beautification. A list of past Garden Walk recipients is available on our website.
Advance tickets are $15 and can be purchased:
• Online at our website May 7-June 1 (PayPal only, postage fee added)
• At these retailers May 7-June 8: Ace Barnes Hardware* (Stadium Blvd. location only), Dixboro General Store, Downtown Home & Garden*, and Matthaei Botanical Gardens. (*credit cards accepted)
On Garden Walk day, Saturday, June 9, tickets are $20 and can be purchased only at the garden locations. K-12 student tickets are $3 and available only at the gardens on Garden Walk day.
