Fungi Fundamentals

“Fungi Fundamentals” speaker program will be held on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019, at the Royal Oak Middle School beginning at 7:30 pm. This program will be presented jointly by The Nature Society and the Friends of Fungi Mycology Club. Mary Fredricks, the Nature Society mycologist, will introduce you to the amazingly diverse group of organisms that include the mushrooms that you put on your pizza, the morels your neighbor finds in a secret spot and raves about, the crusts covering logs in the woods, the strange growths in your lawn that appear after a rain, and much more.
