Ken-O-Sha: Working for Reconciliation in a West Michigan Watershed/Exclusive to MMGA Members

We are excited to have Dave Warners, Professor with Calvin University and Plaster Creek Stewards Director share the process of restoring West Michigan's most contaminated stream. Dr. Warners will share the importance of creating opportunities for residents, students, churches, schools and businesses to become involved in watershed restoration through gardens, floodplain restorations, retention and detention ponds, bioswales, and tree planting. In this presentation, Dr. Warners will share how to motivate participants to become involved in restoration/reconciliation ecology. This presentation will emphasize watershed history from receding glaciers to Indigenous occupation to European colonization.
