Sponsoring Organization: Plant It Wild
Matt LaMore will discuss the process of identifying and collecting native seeds, the various means by which they must be stratified or prepared for germination, and how to raise a sprout to such a size that it can be transplanted to the wild or your garden. The program will include issues related to genotype, hybrid and cultivar seed, tips for successful germination and establishment, ethics regarding seed collection, propagation by cuttings or bareroot stock, and tools needed to produce vigorous seedlings.
