Description of the Event: E-mail PlantItWild2day@gmail.com to register.
Presenter: Dr. Benjamin Vogt, PhD
How to build resilient and dynamic native plant communities that do good and look good. We'll take our inspiration from wilder areas to mimic natural processes at home using plant sociability as one guide among many to help us select and place plants in a natural space.
We can learn from natural plant communities how to increase ecosystem function and climate resilience at home in our designed gardens. From the fundamentals of plant succession over the years to using plant reproduction and habit to fill ecological niches, the right native plant communities make all the difference for beautiful gardens both wildlife and people crave.Website Link for Event: PlantItWild.net
