Master Gardener Association Genesee County will be back with their annual garden tour this summer. Gardeners will be showing off their beautiful gardens Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 10-4. This is a self-guided tour focusing on the Swartz Creek area.
The tickets which include detailed directions and maps may be purchased for $10 at Bordine Nursery, Walker Farms & Greenhouse, and Beadin’ Mon. Each garden will also sell tickets.
Directional arrow signs will help guide the guests from one home to the next. Each site will have two Genesee Master Gardeners who will share scientifically-based information related to each garden. For more information and pictures, visit the website http://gcgardentour.weebly.com/
Each garden looks very unique and is a reflection of the homeowner’s personal taste.
· Prickly pear cacti are grown in Michigan
· Ornamental pond
· Hosta garden with a child’s playhouse turned into a potting shed
· Country garden with a she-shed reading retreat
· Succulent garden and roses with a homeowner hand-crafted archway
· Vegetable garden
The proceeds of this tour help to fund the various Genesee County Master Gardener gardening projects around the county. It also helps support educational outreaches and Master Gardener Association Genesee County MI Garden-related speakers.
