Midwest Invasive Species Information Network: Invasive Species - Your Roll

Early detection and response (EDR) is critical in the fight against invasive species. The Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) is a framework providing an early detection and response resources to public and private partners.

This regional resource is designed to assist both experts and citizen scientists in the identification, detection and reporting of invasive species.

About the Speaker
Claire Peterson is a native of Shelton, CT and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Southern Connecticut State University in 2008 and Professional Certification in Geographic Information Systems from Michigan State University in 2019.

She joined the Applied Spatial Ecology and Technical Services (ASETS) laboratory in March of 2012 as an Information Technology Professional. Claire serves as the data manager for the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) and has a wide range of responsibilities including data integration and distribution, protocol development, website and app maintenance as well as fostering data partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
