Volunteering is key to the success of the Michigan Master Gardener program.  Master gardeners spend thousands of hours annually on projects that focus on the education of others while also beautifying and benefiting their local communities.   There's a master gardener project for everyone!

In addition to working in the community, Michigan Master Gardeners have the opportunity to work at the state level to help the Michigan Master Gardener Association grow and flourish.

To learn more about the impact of master gardeners on our beautiful state we urge you to read the Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener Program State Report written in Aug. 2019 by Mary Wilson and Ruth Marcy of Michigan State University Extension.

While many of you are specifically interested in project work, you may have talents that would benefit the MMGA as well. MMGA is a collective voice for master gardeners in Michigan. If you're interested in helping the MMGA grow and flourish, we'd love to talk with you.  There are opportunities to volunteer at Master Gardener College, on board committees and on the board itself.   Just send us an email.
